A Project Based on Stefan Sagmeister class assigment "Can Design Touch Someone's Heart"
The purpose is to conmemorate the life and work of community tennis coach Ernesto Contreras. Therefore to bring joy to the comunnity that formed part of his life and saw him more than as a coach as a grandfather.
To achive it I design a personal identity with his named and printed it into a tennis grip via screen printing. In the design I incorporated 3 of his most iconic phrases in order to remake that memory in the comunity. I hanmade a grip for each member of the comunnity each with its own grip tape. With the help of calssmates I proceed to hand out this Grips to the tennis comunnity. In the process i recognize how powerful design haw happy can it make people.
