In 2016 MLS and adidas approached us to create a reusable/standalone merchandising structure for the MLS cup games. We were also tasked with creating a graphic language extension which would blend that seasons aesthetic with adidas's brand language. Simultaneously making this final game feel special and unique.
After exploring several structural options, the final selection was both easily reconfigurable for different stadium space restrictions, created a sense of space, and was easily re-skinnable. We then created a system of graphics and applied those to these cases, as well as the stadium itself. In 2017 we were tasked with designing a new graphic language based on that season's aesthetic and re-applying it to the same structures.
