When examining the Convent we raise a key question, its "lack of monumentality," it’s touch with the Albuquerque Mouzinho Avenue is fragile and even seems unbalanced. So the solution is to build a pedestal, an embasement (lióz stone) capable of elevating the importance of the Convent, allowing this to be a cultural core capable of influencing urban life in Vale de Santo António.
The interpretive center serves as an "invitation" to the knowledge of history and relics relating to Holy Martyrs - Veríssimo, Máxima and Júlia - concealed in a basement surrounding the Santos-O-Novo Convent and promotes a privileged view over the Tejo river.
