This was a packaging collection for Daiso Japan, a dollar store all around the world. This collection reflects their affordable prices while still maintaining uniqueness and surprise. 

The products displayed are a soy sauce container, silicone rice ball packer, paper lantern and a shopping bag.  Each product has their own unique package that allows the customer to interact with the products from the shelf and accentuates the shape of each product. 

The patterns are inspired from traditional Japanese imagery with fish scales and cherry blossoms and take on the red and blue colors bringing in depth and contrast with the neutral color of the label itself.

Each character was hand drawn then digitized to add emotional appeal, surprise and fun to each product which is essential to the branding principles of Daiso Products.
