This collection was the culmination Christina’s travels to 29 cities within the span of about 6 months, working with artisans and finding inspiration in each place. While working in China on a previous collection, she spent time embroidering with women in their homes. The colorful wallpaper covering every surface in one of these homes contrasted the grey weather outside, and prompted Christina to drive around the area, looking for different varieties of the wallpaper. They became an inspiration for this collection, they were used to cover the slipcase of the catalog, and were printed to become textiles.
