In a 24 hour time period, eligible entrants work in teams of 2 to answer a brief for a not-for-profit organization, selected by
The Globe and Mail in consultation with the competition judges. The Canadian qualifying competitions are designed to prepare
the teams for the global Young Lions competition in Cannes.

The brief
Produce a single double-page-spread landscape print ad for 60 million girls and its mission to empower marginalized young women to
stay in school, by rallying Canadians’ support for its Mobile Learning Lab initiative. 

Background
Girls’ education is considered to be one of the most effective vectors for social change. As gender equality is the foundation for stable and democratic societies, education is a question of life or death for hundreds of millions of girls and women around the world. ​​​​​​​
