    Hellisheiði Power Station is located between Reykjavík and Hveragerði in southwest Iceland and provides electricity and hot water. The facility is the third-largest geothermal power station in the world. The production capacity is 303 MW electricity and 133 MW thermal energy for Reykjavik's district heating. The power plant is owned and operated by the Icelandic power company ON Power. Hellisheiði Power Station also houses the Geothermal Energy Exhibition with guided tours, multimedia installations and presentations about sustainable energy and Iceland‘s geothermal energy utilization.
