LinkedIn is a professional social media platform networking site. It enables you to connect with people you know and with people that your connections know. You can build your linked in portfolio and join groups to stay active and so that your connections will grow. It can help you build your professional image and reputation. The better your profile is the more it'll attract companies and recruiters. LinkedIn gives you the opportunity to seek for jobs that are open and jobs that are within your connections. LinkedIn is not only for just networking but it is also for marketing, for those who are interested. You can pretty much say that LinkedIn is a great resource for career and business professionals to network. It helps connect people to their professions. Why I think this tool is important to me is because I am able to promote myself through my own profile and the fact that you can build your own image and market yourself. It's useful because it gives people chances to start somewhere. It's a great opportunity for those who are in need of a job or wants to find a different job. This tool is pretty easy to use. The signing up process is also easy. All you need is a name, email and password then confirm your password to get started. Pretty similar to other social networks like Facebook and Myspace. Many people has been using LinkedIn for years now. They use it to connect with people they know, people they don't know or people that knows people. Most of all, they use it to advertise themselves to find jobs. I would definitely use this tool to connect with people, jobs and business purposes. I think this tool can be use at a professional and personal level, depending on what your purpose is for. I would mainly use this tool professionally to expand my network and meet other business services. LinkedIn can add great value to what I am doing because the outcome could possibly be, helping me find a job that I am interested in. It can give you advantage over those who are not using it because they are not known or out there promoting themselves. This tool can be applied to the organization by experiences of those who has been using LinkedIn and had a successful journey. I want my tool to speak of my past and current experiences, making it a continuous growth to my timeline and tells the story of where I am today. For security purposes, LinkedIn usually asks for your cell phone so they can text a confirmation number directly to your phone. Be sure to always check your privacy settings so you can choose who you allow to see your profile. Lastly, one that that I have learned is that there are over 160 million active members worldwide. Active members includes executives from all over the world who also promotes themselves through this web tool.

The second web tool I decided to go with is Google Doc. Google Doc is a free application that can create, edit and store documents online. Files and documents can be accessed from any computer as long as there is internet connection. I selected this tool because it will be useful for school work and for my personal use. What was most important to me is that it is an easy tool to learn and work with. You can just simply start a new document and start editing to your liking. It's pretty self-explanatory. People uses Google Doc to create and edit documents online which is more convenient for many now and days. I would definitely use this tool for school and work when creating documents. I believe this tool can be use both professionally and personally. This tool can add value and advantage because it works almost similar to Microsoft. It can be a great alternative when Microsoft is not working. Your privacy can be protected by changing the settings to your liking. Privacy is always a plus for me so yes I recommend it for everyone. One thing that I've learned about Google Doc is that you can share and collaborate your documents with others. That's awesome!!

The third tool that I've selected is Fotoflexer. Fotoflexer is an online digital photo editor. It has basic editing options/tasks such as rotating photos, resizing, cropping, adding effects, layering, animations, decorating, photo enhancing, morphing photos, changing hair/skin color and many more. I chose this tool because I enjoy editing photos. I would like to expand my knowledge in photo editing and learn new things as I go. What was most important to me was to choose a tool that have basic editing with some type of advanced editing that I can use and of course, something simple that it's easy to catch on. This tool is useful for those who wants to enhance different types of images. In my opinion, the tool is pretty easy to use. You don't have to install anything, you can just upload your photo and start playing with the edits from there. Many people uses this tool to do photo editing. They especially make edits to their photos to put on social media since it can easily be shared to your social network sites (facebook, myspace, photobucket etc..). Like most people, I will definitely use this photo tool to do a lot of editing to my photos and other people's photos. I will also use it for any type of projects that involves editing, such as photography stuff. This photo editing tool can be use both professionally and personally. This tool can add value to what what I'm doing by perfecting and enhancing my photos. It give mes the advantage to do better editing compared to those who are not using the tool. What do you want your tool to say about you? I want my tool to show my skills and creativity. Privacy is something to be aware of at all times. Don't forget to explore your setting options if you don't want something to be public. One thing I've learned about FotoFlexer is that it is quite similar to the old photobucket editor. Also, it is free of charge :)
Future Tools:
Two types of tools that I would like to focus on in the future is blogging and networking tools because I would like to aim for something that's more in my field, which is business. I plan to use these tools to help my business in the future. I feel like these tools would be the best options for me if I want to advertise my business and make it more well known. These tools will give me an advantage by helping me promote, market and connect myself to the business world.
