O ARTEC é um evento organizado anualmente pelos alunos finalistas da licenciatura em Design e Tecnologia das Artes Gráficas, do Instituto Politécnico de Tomar. O tema desta 28.ª edição é Perspetiva, como característica que nos distingue, desafia, e nos permite criar ou recriar algo. O evento em si conta com a presença de vários designers e profissionais da indústria gráfica.

Com o tema “PRESPECTIVA”, ao criar o logo, procurei adotar uma abordagem diferente do ponto de vista comum em relação à construção do logo. Foi quando percebi que, ao projetar um logotipo, há uma série de formas geométricas que são usadas e manipuladas para alcançar a aparência final, e que somente a pessoa envolvida no projeto pode visualizar o resultado final. Quando outras pessoas são confrontadas com todas essas formas, elas vêem e imaginam coisas completamente diferentes. Além disso, ao criar este logotipo, eu próprio imaginei outras formas e lembrei-me de outras imagens além da lâmpada, como um elmo de guerreiro, um sol, um rosto...

With the subject “PRESPECTIVE”, when creating the logo I sought to adopt a different approach from the common perspective, regarding buildings. That was when I realized that, when designing a logo, there are a series of geometrical shapes being used and manipulated to achieve the final appearance, and that only the person involved in the designing can visualize the end result. And when other people are confronted with all these shapes, they see and imagine completely different things. Also when creating this logo, I found myself imagining other shapes, resembling further pictures other than the lightbulb, like a warriors’ elm, a sun, a face...
