The book The Age of Happiness is a project of Vladimir Yakovlev embarked on a journey to various countries the globe over to meet people who were 70, 80, 90 or even 100 years old. His journey has heightened the conclusion that our conception of the period after 60 or 65 years of age is wrong. The personal experiences of the project’s heroes prove that it is possible to lead a meaningful, active, healthy and, most significantly, happy life at this stage.
