"The Wound" Poster Design

"The Wound" Poster Design

This is a poster design to promote The Wound, a documentary series sponsored by the NAD that focuses on the historical timeline of race-relations in the Adventist Church, as well as interviews a dynamic group of pastors, administrators, and members, and absorbs their experiences with racial tension within the denomination.
The poster shows multiple subjects that symbolize many different things.

The church's color represents the church's demographic originating from dominantly black cultures. If intentionally observed, you can see that the church is built on rock- this symbolizes the importance and dependence of the church on black cultural influences, experiences of people, and authenticity of worship. The largest subject, being the red "The Wound" text, represents blood shed because of a wound.

Thanks for watching!
