These images were taken in July 2012 during Nicaragua's 33rd annual celebration of peacetime.  During both the Contra and Reveloutionary war, a massive amount of men, women, and youth were killed fighting for both government and insurgent forces. The photographs are a reflection upon presence of absence in the fabric of the country's recent tumultuous history.
