In my posters, I chose to refer to three plays, written by three Israeli playwrights, each from a different era of the Israeli theatre repertoire. All three plays are stories led by women characters. Each of the plays describes the female perspective - and her struggle with reality, relationships, society and habitat. The images presented in the posters are a representation of the women's mental state and their relationships with their surroundings on stage.
״Make Yourself Dead״ by Poli Brinner
A woman facing divorce, having to face the feeling of loneliness, detachment, and strangeness. She has her children, he has his. The play describes a woman in her own habitat - the feeling of chaotic home and the lack of control.
“Best Friends” by Anat Gov
A story of female adulthood in the late 40's, in the new established country Israel. Told from the point of view of three teenage girls - each girl and the path she took, and the crisis who brought them together again.
“In the Prime of Her Life” by Shmuel Yosef Agnon
