TruTV Summer Stunt
New summer shows were on the way and TruTV wanted to immerse folks deep into a summertime vibe. Using traditional stop-motion photography, we created a series of customizable, summery scenes including a mischievous crab character that keeps popping up in different places. We built our own beach set, filling our studio with seven hundred of pounds of sand for two and a half weeks – and shot all the elements in-house with minimal compositing.
Only two skateboards and one cooler were destroyed in the making of these animations…
and we’re still finding sand in our shoes.
