Developing my style as pseudonym "The Girl Mirage" in late 2017, I scoured my hard drives for unfinished work and raw photographs I could edit and transform for a new portfolio. These images feature artist and celebrity personality Coorain Devin from initial shoot for collaborative artist book, and I finally completed this project in mid-2018. What started as a single image "SCREAM" turned into a series of abstracted, pattern-oriented digital works of glitterbeard wonderment that are so crazy, I call the collection "The Coorain Circus."
Using only Adobe Photoshop for this series, I started to create patterns. Prior to 2017, none of my work features patterns; this series is what launched my interest in creating photographic patterns, as opposed to vector-based designs. This project also led me to create animated GIFs in Photoshop - and now I can’t stop!
