DIESEL - Pablo Escobar
As part of a course
A graphic identity for the line in the clothing company DIESEL, based on the personality of Pablo Escobar.
I was interested in Pablo Escobar, who was a criminal and a famous Colombian drug dealer because of the brutal and bloody way in which he achieved his power against other cartels and the government of Colombia and the United States.
The graphic identity combines Escobar's violence and wariness with his being a hero and a man of peace as seen by the people of his city.
The connection to DIESEL happened quite naturally. DIESEL is the perfect company to create a line that exudes in man the side of the bad and dominant boy. Such a man so full of confidence that he can deceive and connect war and peace fantastically.
The feel and texture of the graphics are result of printing color images, countless photocopies to a rough result, and then scanning, moving to Adobe Photoshop and reprinting.
I created the caption using letters I created myself on a sol (material), which I painted in black acrylic, stained the page and scanned the computer.
