Palatino has been one of my favourite serif fonts because of its classical elegance and the strength in its lines and turnings, the force of the tip of a pen. To create a couple of posters presenting this font, I decided to pay tribute to its origin, Italian Renaissance calligraphist Giovanni Battista Palatino, also known as Giambattista. I integrated the layout and the paper colour as well as, for the poster on the right, a part of the texts of his Libro nuovo d'imparare a scrivere and designed the first poster (left) presenting the alphabet and the second (right) showing the font applied to long texts.
