GOTHAM

GOTHAM is an experimental graphic design inspired by a typeface Gotham™.
It is one of my favorite typefaces and I came up with an idea to make a graphic which expresses the atmosphere of the typeface. Gotham itself was inspired by logotypes on buildings and signage in New York City, which is famous for cold winter. I also found a Japanese word “極寒 (very cold)” can be a phonotic equivalent of Gotham (ゴッサム). Therefore coldness and winter were chosen as the main theme of the project.
