During a 3 day short term project, we learned the basics of lighting design and how to use Philips Color Kinetics.

 Colorful lights not only turn the ordinary into extraordinary and bring attention but also create a community and a safer neighborhood. We chose to light up the facade of our school - Köln International School of Design, to bring attention and to cultivate the community in Südstadt (the city district where KISD is found). The project's name 'Lumos Colovaria' is a magic spell for lights and colors from Harry Potter, we hoped to bring a powerful visual effect to the usually dark and drab corner of the street.
