Metamorphosis

After being tasked by my school to design my own interpretation of a book cover, I chose Metamorphosis to try my hand at due to its wild and almost grotesque narrative, which was something I wanted to experiment with.
Littered with references (See: The apple), the book cover is a journey into the psyche of the protagonist, ranging from the chunky and fragmented rooms, to the looming dark presence of the grotesque monster he had become.
Heavily inspired by Saul Bass' works, I settled on using a very fragmented and disjointed art style to convey how bizarre and Kafkaesque (hah) the story is.
