Acrylic Bird
Students abstract and develop a bird form composed of multiple interlocking clear acrylic planes.

First I researched birds from the web that I might want to use in my project. The bird that I chose was a pelican.
I chose a bird from the group that I researched and traced it on tracing paper.
I worked on Adobe Illustrator to create an extruded model of my pelican on how it might look with acrylic.
Above is my bird model made out of foam board. I did three versions to perfect my bird for the acrylic.
This is the pieces of my bird that I got from the laser cutter before putting it together.
