Fishing for Good Ideas | Typography Project

This project that began in mid April was based around the idea of creating a typographical poster that pokes fun at the idea of one occasionally finding it difficult to come up with good ideas, by the way of comparing the situation to the way fishermen often struggle with baiting fish onto a hook.

As you will see, the content of the final outcome helps visually present a sense of self-reflection that all viewers can easily relate to, given the light-hearted struggle being cited within the design, due to the fact that we have all at some point faced this kind of dilemma.

The display mockup for the final outcome places the design itself into a black frame that is then rested up against a wall that shares the same colour as the dominant colour of the finished poster. This helps ensure that both elements blend together in a calm yet formal manner that isn’t too distracting, or make one seem out of place from the other.
