This project is a chalkboard style “Back in 1938” themed birthday poster. The client had requested a customized poster for her mother’s 80th surprise birthday party. I did have design freedom for the most part with this project, however, the client made two requests: a color palette of gold, white, black and cream, and wanted the background to have a chalkboard look to it.

The goal of this project was to design an infographic, based on Halloween, that could be found online, on social media, or in a magazine. I had complete artistic freedom to choose the content, colors, size, layout and illustrations. I decided to concentrate more on playing with typography as an illustrative element instead of overpowering illustrations.
