Potateque - a mobile cargo vegetable shop - is a result of a design research project for finding new and attractive ways for food retailing.
Our objective was to propose a new way of retail for food with emphasis on fruits or vegetables. In our case we chose to have potatoes as the main sales article due to the fact that potato consumption in Estonia is unbelievably high. We combined the available technology and the possibilities of a mobile shop/market place. The result gives us an agile selling area that can be focused on obtaining the best sales performance through the possibility of changing its location in a short period of time.
In addition more soft values were considered like informing the customers about the overall food production situation of the world, what exactly is healthy food and - in our example - how does consuming local goods help nearby farmers.
