Calendar Design
The goal of this project was to create a fun coloring book calendar that could be utilized by all age demographics.
Sketches:
I began by selecting a serif font. I then blew each letter of the month up fill most of an 8.5" by 11" paper. I then proceeded to print them out and hand design the coloring pattern for each month beginning with January and ending with December.
I then created the number designs for the calendar.
Spreads:
I then created the spreads for each month. I began with a 7 by 5 grid for the calendar itself. I then added in the numbers in the correct place for each month. Finally, I added a notes section so people could write information that wouldn't fit in the calendar box.
The last two pages of the book was a conglomeration of all the coloring pages of the calendar into
one large page.
