Aiman  Zamri

I am very much intrigued by supernatural beings ever since I was 9 years old where I’d always hallucinate and be frightened due to the things that I witness whenever I attend a funeral. Being able to see things that other people couldn’t has lead me wanting to understand my disturbed state of mind. Thus, I explore my emotions deeper through this series. This gives me the chance to expose the wild side of me that I’ve never showed to any other people. Therefore, I take it to express what I feel through my canvas. I would apply the colour red to indicate mind therapy, a unique way to release tension within a single stroke of paint. By understanding my emotion like fear and anger, I created a lot of scratch marks as my own language to interpret the beastly side of my introvert personality. My artworks are largely inspired by expressionism; it helps me to evoke deeper emotions, especially with aggressive strokes and marks that I always execute in my artwork which gives me the ability to produce mind-provoking visual that satisfies and heals me.
