Thrissur pooram is among Asia's largest human gatherings festival and proudly, the place is my home town. Right from my childhood, the festival has been part of my spirits and each and every ceremony of the festival and its importance has been well know.
So for 2018 pooram, myself and the team decided to create a t-shirt merchandise which none of the others have explored before.
I worked on the illustration taking real reference of the festival and being the native, the ethos of it flowed. All the colours used are inspired from different events of the festival. The work reflected the real experience of the pooram at the core and we succeeded in it.
After the design, selling this was the following challenge. We catered to online and offline advertisements and it proved helpful in reaching the masses. Enquiries came from both the place itself and from abroad.
This project gave fruitful insights into confronting the possibilities and problems of selling and gave us a deeper knowledge of the market.
