Another project deep rooted in my land.
Born in 1824, Stefano Pelloni was “Il Passatore” or “Il Passator Cortese” - it means "the one who crosses", because when he was young he worked with his father, a ferryman.
His family urged him to embark on an ecclesiastical career, but Stefano was a free spirit and avoided churches and steady jobs, until he became a brigand, an outlaw, and a historical-mythological character of my land.
Since the legends were told in taverns, the figure of "Il Passatore" is often used in the food & wine industry in Italy to recall a tradition of the Romagna region.
Lucia and Roberto own a typical italian and Romagnolo restaurant in Belgium, bringing the flavours and traditions of our land, the dialect language and a touch of our well know hospitality.
Roberto in particular is a storyteller and a great connoisseur of tales and myths, and this wine is a recognition of all that and a perfect conversation starter.
