I Am Prodetox Foot Pads
The innumerable possibilities of the human creative mind are what you get here at behance.net. It’s funny to say that about just one website among millions on this interconnected web of little worlds. It’s enough to make an anonymous health and wellness writer wax poetic to strangers!
My creativity is not nurtured by imagery, but by words. More specifically, by words that describe the expressions of the timeless human desire for optimizing life and living.
We, as a species, have always sought to extend and improve life. It’s a uniquely human goal that sprung up from a common mammalian predisposition to survive. Now, in this modern world, you just need to take one look at the health and wellness market to see innumerable examples of this endeavor. If you’re looking for something to improve your wellness or health, it’s actually harder to find because of the massive diversity in the market. That’s where my art comes in.
I like to sift through the rough, and in the mass of text and images, find the gems that help people achieve their goals. Take, for example, detox foot pads.
Of the countless legitimate angles of approach to improving our health, one way is reducing toxins in our environment. Within that sphere is also the dilemma of whether our time and resources are best spent on reducing toxins around us, in the air and water; or simply capitulating temporarily to that reality and focusing, rather, on getting those toxins out of our bodies.
What I mean is; it’s great to advocate for public policy and action that reduces the pollution caused by our industries, but that’s a long-term goal. In the meantime, toxins are here, and they are getting into our bodies. So, how do we deal with this?
When we speak of toxicity in foods, water and air, we are often talking about heavy metals. The most prominent example of a heavy metal that is bad for you is mercury. Mercury is the cause of several ailments, and is most commonly the reason why many industrial sites are off limits to pregnant women. Other than the cottage industry that’s sprung up of dentists making a killing removing mercury fillings, mercury has had a net negative effect on the health of modern peoples around the world.
We should never have gotten here, but, nonetheless, here we are. In this day and age, we still struggle with reducing our exposure to mercury, and trying to get it out of our bodies.
The garlic test
Do me a favor. Pause on reading this article and go rub a clove of garlic on the sole of your foot. Wait a bit and behold (or, behance) that you start to TASTE the garlic in your mouth. Consider for a moment what that means. Yes! The body is an interconnected system, where a cause in one area has an effect elsewhere. That means that we have a new option in the struggle to get toxins out of our bodies.
Detox foot pads
Our bodies do a good enough job of detoxifying themselves, but, as I mentioned before, we’re dealing with never before seen levels of toxicity in every part of our lives. We need to help our bodies out; we need detox foot pads!
Here’s my simple routine: I put one pad on each foot before bed and remove them in the morning. That’s it.
The pads are...to put it mildly, a bit gross in the morning. The first time I did this, I was surprised by the dark brown sludge that had accumulated in the pad. After having the pads analyzed, I found that the sludge was in fact composed of a few different toxins. The foot pads had effectively pulled them out of my body; optimizing the efforts of my body’s liver, colon and kidneys.
Made in Japan
The detox foot pads I get are made in Japan but sold by an American-owned company in California, I think. On their start page, the first type of foot pads you see are the ones I use. I don’t know much about any of their other products. Everything is very well backed up by science and scientists and the site provides an analysis of your used foot pads.
So, that’s it, behance.net. I hope my fellow art enthusiasts get something out of my post today. Don’t forget that change only happens when all of us take collective action against these dangerous materials in our environment. In the meantime, detoxify yourself and be well!
