These are products I designed for Working Class Studio, a SCAD brand, while interning there in fall 2012.
This collection of projects I made while interning at Working Class Studio, a SCAD brand with products designed by students. This first project was to design and make a unique lamp that would fit the Working Class Studio Brand. My goal was to use flat pieces of wood to make the "shade" so it could be flat packed and easily mailed to the consumer. Then the pieces would fit in such a way that it would create a unique 3D lamp. It can be hung or sit on a table.
The second project was to create an acessory for men. The brand wants to branch out and widen their consumer base. I chose to design a belt, but wanted it to be unique so it would match the rest of the products already in the Working Class Studio line. I wanted to keep in mind what a guy would actually wear. It would have to be practicle and easy to use. I chose to focus on the hardware and incorporated a marine shackle as the buckle. I then used snaps so the wearer would not have to open and close the shackle, but instead just snap the leather around it.
