Process of Creating a Logo
Using Adobe Illustrator in creating logos is an effective tool for producing high quality.
Step1; insert text on blank page.
Step 2; creating outlines on the text allows for anchor points to be visible to edit the text shape.
Step 3; using anchor points allows you pull the outlines and rearrange the shape and style of text.
Step 4; final design outcome

Why does the chosen work represent the best outcome of the options you could have developed?

The research aided the understanding of an effective logo and branding design. From this I was able to gather inspiration from techniques and effects used by industry concepts.

Having a background in graphic design the Adobe package was a familiar tool with ease of use. This advantage the understand of the logo process therefore creating a design style that was professionally built and a final outcome that reflects a strong end result.

How does your work compare with professional work you researched?

I understood the elements of logo design prior to this project. The logo designed uses the appropriate tools to create elements that are aesthetically pleasing. Incorporating the techniques used in similar styles and was applied effectively.

What were the technical constraints and difficulties you encountered?

It is a fiddly task using anchor points to manipulate text however practice and many attempts provided a successful outcome. The techniques used were quite time consuming so this had an overall impact of the end design due to the need to carry out other tasks and processes.

How could you have improved the process or outcome?

Experimenting more would definitely benefit the final outcome. Trialling other colours and different shapes would make for an improved design style. The project aims to look at making a different logo that stands out vividly against the current variations in the industry.
