The fulfillment of this project will result in thecreation of a conceptually new type of space. I believe that thisInterconfessional Cultural Centre will become a place where people withdifferent religious and cultural background world meet, where they would try tobetter understand each other.
From its founding days Leningrad was anInternational city. That is why such I.C.C. is likely to become the place ofcommunication for people of different nationalities and creeds, a place ofmutual tolerance and understanding.
I assume that the only appropriate architecturalsolution of the task posed in my thesis is the choice of natural form for thebuilding: for it is only nature, that is one and the same for everybody,whatever ones creed might be.
