A city car. Reimagined.
A new definition of a city car.

HAIBU is a car concept with a goal of reducing congestion in highly populated cities of the future. It is an autonomous vehicle designed to work as an extension of the city ‒ by connecting to the urban environment it actively helps solving crucial problems of people. It is inspired by the city of Tokio, which high population density and urbanization levels most likely forecast patterns of many metropolis in the future.
What is the future of a city car?
In the past 100 years, our population grew over fourfold. Since then, the original purpose of the car hasn’t changed, but our needs did. Our goal was to reverse the negative impact of the cars and rethink the way we use them in cities. We wanted to design a car that becomes a part of the urban infrastructure, and focuses on improving the interactions between people, city and the natural environment.
