Folio
Prior to creating this project, I read Graphic Design Thinking: Beyond Brainstorming by Ellen Lupton which helps designers, and people alike, firmly understand what goes behind design and dissects the individual processes in a relatable and organized manner in order to make design more approachable. We were asked to create a project that would be a reader’s guide to the book. This app is a companion that teaches the design process in its most natural form. Compared to platforms like Behance and Dribble, Folio is an app catered to projects and ideas that are in the earlier stages of process and that require feedback from the design community.
Research/Inspiration
Folio creates a space for designers to collaborate, give feedback, and find inspiration. I am inspired by designers, the design process, and pioneers of design thinking, like Tim Brown of IDEO.
Ideation
As a design student, I find inspiration everywhere and take photos of everything for reference. In my sketches, I wanted to incorporate organization in many aspects, in storage of inspiring content, the design process, and tagging systems.

Final
Going back to the idea of being able to find inspiration in everything, Folio is a design toolkit for everyone. Folio is where people can post ideas and gain feedback from the community, helping turn things into reality.
