Tit Tats - A Non-Profit Branding Journey

This project was completed during my education at University of Cincinnati Blue Ash.
final brand colors and typeface
Logo variations - I and the client designed on a "modular" design that was flexible to fit different applications and size.
T-Shirt concepts
Facebook profile and cover image variations
Storefront / window decal - frosted texture
Business card mockup - In the physical prototype, the circles were embossed to created a raised texture. Perhaps leaving the viewer blushing when they realize what the circles that they're rubbing symbolize.
Developing a complete brand identity was the focus of my capstone.
I partnered with a small, local business that was beginning a new branch of business - a non-profit providing free breast tattoos for breast cancer survivors.

The entire brand concept is centered around the company owner's cheeky sense of humor and the non-profit's objective to make women feel beautiful.

The women seeking out these types of tattoos have typically been through a treacherous journey by the time they are at this stage of the process. Focusing on the fun and feminine energy during the service and in the space makes these women feel empowered and free.

I wanted to steer clear of your standard breast cancer awareness colors and ribbons.
This is a tattoo taking place in a tattoo studio after all.
Without going too obvious with the typical tattoo design motifs, I still wanted the brand's visuals to feel fun and edgy, but still soft and approachable. The women seeking this service may not always be the standard patron of a tattoo studio.

We had so much bringing this brand and merchandise concepts together.
The repeating circles and wide array of brand colors subtly imply what the women are there to get tattooed on their breasts.

With strategic placement of the graphics and logo on different applications (t-shirts, mirrors, stickers, etc), the possibilities for fun, light-hearted conversation starters are endless.
