Piece “What happened after Nora left her husband; or Pillars of Society” of the Austrian Nobel Prize winner, Elfriede Jelinek, is a sequel but also a paraphrase of the two Ibsen's plays, “Nora (A Doll’s House)” and “The Pillars of Society”, followed by Nora Helmer's "development path" after leaving her husband, through a theater kaleidoscope of male projections / fantasies about a woman in the role of: wives, mothers, workers, artists, lovers, prostitutes, concubines, dominoes, and finally, business women.
The basic starting point for this show is the discovery of mechanisms that rule the world and man. These include mechanisms of global economy, politics and large capital, but also those intimate, emotional and biological that can sometimes be very powerful and, therefore, dangerous because they can be easily manipulated. This is a perverted tragic farce about the achievements of social justice, feminism, emancipation, and capitalism.
