This christmas I had a very small budget to spend on family's presents unfortunately so I put in more effort on the creative side of it so I could save a few pennies! I illustrated everyone's faces (to go on the topside of the lid), then turned them into animals (stuck on the inside of the lid) based on their chinese horoscope. I made origami stars as decoration for the bottom of the jars then loaded each jar with each family member's favourite foods then used ribbon to make them all pretty for the special occasion.
The personalised gifts were definitely a talking point during our lovely family get together and there was laughter all around. Hopefully everyone will look after their jars in the years to come and smile when they see their anthropomorphic faces and be reminded of this christmas 2012!
