Archer Animated Key Art - 2 Seasons

These are two very cool examples of animated key art, where I took a static image, separated the elements in Photoshop, imported them into After Effects, and created a "fly-through" motion experience.

Both of the videos seen here utilize the After Effects 3D camera to create this immersive effect. I started by importing each static element separately into After Effects and placing them at different z-space levels. This essentially turns a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional scene. Then by adding a 3D camera, you can move in or out of the scene depth across a motion path, viewing the 2D elements at different angles over time.

This technique allows a flat static image to come to life and become much more engaging to the viewer. Check out these 3D motion fly-trough videos I created for Archer, with two different pieces of static key art.
And here's a quote card where I imposed the text onto the chalkboard at a skewed angle with a chalk like effect.
