A proposta era criar uma marca que registrasse a personalidade e os destaques do trabalho do fotógrafo. O pedido era de que fosse simples e de fácil aplicação. O desenho quadrado é versátil e se encaixa em quase todas as situações, além de conversar com a linha editorial, especialidade técnica na área fotográfica de Daniel.
The proposal was to create a brand that could show the personality and highlights of the photographer's work. The request was that it should be simple and easy to apply. The square design is versatile and fits in almost every situation, in addition to matching the editorial line, technical expertise in the photographic area of Daniel.
Para desenvolver o desenho, muita inspiração na iconografia dos anos 80 de fontes robustas e quadradas, linhas retas, cores sólidas e marcantes e com algum toque futurista. Porém o neon e efeitos metálicos foram simplificados ao máximo fazendo com que a chamativa estética oitentista pudesse se tornar discreta como pede a profissão de um fotógrafo. Um grande e prazeroso desafio.
To develop the design, much inspiration in the 80's iconography of robust and square fonts, straight lines, solid and striking colors and with some futuristic touch. But the neon and metallic effects were simplified to the maximum making the flashy aesthetic of the eighties could become discreet as the profession of a photographer demands. A great and pleasurable challenge.
Para retratar a ligação da marca com a fotografia, a caixa que envolve a logo remete diretamente ao quadro interno do view-finder, a pequena tela da câmera por onde o fotógrafo observa a imagem que será retratada, geralmente representado pela imagem do quadrado com falhas acima e abaixo.
To portray the link between the brand and the photograph, the box surrounding the logo refers directly to the internal frame of the view-finder, the small screen of the camera where the photographer observes the image that will be portrayed, usually represented by the image of the square with gaps above and below.
