STG Logistics Expands into Canada and Pacific Northwest

One of the top executives in the shipping and distribution industry, Chris Jamroz serves as the executive chairman of St. George Logistics (STG Logistics) and oversees the provision of specialty 3PL and transportation services. Chris Jamroz’s company recently announced its acquisition of Summit Northwest Corp., enabling its expansion into Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

The expansion marks a critical phase in the growth of STG Logistics as a leading provider in the import/export market. The company oversees the two largest port systems in the US, but previously lacked the resources to meet consumer demand for solutions in Seattle-Tacoma, Portland, and Vancouver. The ports represent major North American gateways, surpassed only by the Los Angeles/Long Beach and New York/New Jersey port systems already controlled by STG.

A comprehensive import/export logistics firm, Summit Northwest was founded in 1999 and operates in the gateway cities of Seattle-Tacoma, Portland and Vancouver. The company’s services range from value-added warehousing and distribution to first and last mile delivery. Additionally, the custom-bonded facilities hold certification with the Transportation Security Administration and play an important role in services for international transportation and logistics.
