This is a poster I created for UCDA's Design for Education Poster Competition. The competition was just to create a poster that included the words "Design for Education" but you could create it in any style you chose.
I created this piece with the inspiration of the "chalkboard" as it is used in and associated with schools and an education setting, but also because it allows access for me to use different colors to contrast the usual black and white. I drew the typography, lettering, and symbols by hand first, then scanned the drawings into the computer and used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create everything exactly how I wanted it. I thought it was really important to incorporate the importance of education as well, because although the design itself is bright, the topic is important and should be discussed to all.
