Kent District Library is an award-winning public library system operating 18 branch libraries that serve nearly 400,000 residents of 27 different municipalities throughout Kent County. A leading library in civic, community and library awards, KDL is an IRS-designed 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by millage dollars and private donations. KDL is a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative.

Design or recreate brochures as needed to promote certain programs and initiatives.

The brochures featured above are only a couple samples of brochures created for Kent District Library. 

The LEAP trifold was a complete update from the previous design. From bored to playful, the new look better grabs the targeted audience. The hexagon patterning is one of many that previous web developers created as part of the web design and style guide. We carried it over on paper for an interesting take and even more so within the inside content to fill the white space without the usual square or rectangle image approach.

Beneath the LEAP brochure are two images that portray the Books on the Bus initiative. Books on the Bus is just that, a free library placed on buses for kids to read during their travels to and from home and school. Along with the brochure is a logo the workgroup requested and the front cover translates well with the initiative of taking the library on the road.
