The current production lines that now exists was all uprooted from humble beginnings of our
father (late) Mr.Anverdeen, his first milestone was achieved in 1974 where he owned and started
off a factory named ‘Pilimathalawa Tea Factory’ then endowed his venture to ‘Hapugahawatte
tea factory and estate’ which is situated in the beautiful Uva regions of Srilanka. Later on from
his diligent work he initiated two more manufacturing plants named ‘Alllagala tea factory’ and
‘Dehigama Tea Factory’.
Being a family owned Business, our father Mr.Anverdeen was inspired and gained
experience from his father’s business where he was motivated to acquire his own. The management consists of a board of directors regulated by the family members; we strive to produce top notch tea using state of the art machinery that we have in hand. The process is initiated with the finest of leaves which is taken up from a factory is based in Kandy close upon the Kaduganawa Hill.

Presently we have propelled our own tea brands named ‘Specs on Kettle’ and ‘DILFAR’, bringing to you an assuring produce the best range of value added teas exclusively available at the tea shop Pilimathalawa and Gampola.
Over the years, as our reputation grew Pilimathalawa Tea Factory has maintained consistency in quality while offering teas of high character rich in aroma and flavor.
Our teas are made with the use of Handpicked Lush Green Leaves nurtured under optimal weather conditions in a fertile soil in Pilimathalawa Gardens which guarantees Authenticity and Freshness.
