The Anatomy of Language

For this project the way I interpreted the brief was that I needed to define a word, I started off by looking up the most unusual words in the dictionary and after choosing mostly medical terminology I decided to make this the theme of publication. In this publication I wanted to get a reaction from the imagery and make it shocking but playful. For me the imagery had to be playful, the subject can come across as boring even though I found it interesting. The imagery and the slang I used along side it had to bring the audience in to read the stories written. This project really educated me on the proper terminology for words I say every day. This was so interesting as well as finding out how the persons I asked in a questionnaire interpreted the word. This project was playful and fun and allowed me to be more free and experimental with my layout and typography.
