The Greenhouse - Adaptive Reuse
This project involved choosing a heritage building in Hong Kong and introducing a new program into the site. The Woo Cheong Pawn Shop, now commonly known as The Pawn, is the heritage building that was chosen for this brief. Following the theme of adaptive reuse spaces, this concept perfectly combines both the new program and the original one, as well as giving new life to the structure. One of the features of the building that was left unused was the roof. The Greenhouse is a rooftop wine bar which goes well with the existing restaurant in the lower levels.
