"Immate 24 37236", 30 x 40 cm, oil, bike tube, newspaper and plastic on canvas.
The work portraits, in a sort of Italian-mobster fashion, a Melbourne citizen. Dressed in a cricket shirt, this immate (an australian inmate) is trapped in an utopian freedom: free to do but not willing to.

The work in retrospective:
The work is currently being displayed in Tenery Cres and Maugie St (at the wall that faces the Dight Falls Reserve), Abbotsford, Melbourne. Since I am not a recognized artist, and I hope not for too much longer, I decided to nail the painting to a wall, hoping to catch at least some eyes.
I'm not in Melbourne anymore, so I hope the paint is still hanging. Hang in there (im)mate.
