Jeju Island, the isolated island on the southernmost tip of the Han peninsula,
was a land of indiscriminate massacres and devastating sacrifices.
The case of Jeju 4·3 was a case of extreme damage after the Korean War,
which lasted for 7 years from September 1, 1947
until September 21, 1954, after the Korean War.

제주 4·3 사건은 1947년 3월 1일을 기점으로
1954년 9월 21일까지 7년여에 걸쳐 지속된
한국 연대사에서 6·25 전쟁 다음으로
인명피해가 극심했던 사건이다.
