The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury is a collection of short stories that are featured across the skin of a cursed circus freak. In the book, the stories are each represented with prophetic moving tattoos that tell of what happened, is happening, or will happen. Much like how tattoos usually convey a meaning to the holder, the book cover is composed of symbols for each story and the star elements representing the number of stories in the book as a whole.
