DIGITAL - CITY OF HEROES EMAIL MARKETING PIECES

Shortly after I began to work closely with Paragon on their MTX emailers, I suggested that we begin to give each pack its own look and feel. I would create a quick logo for each and then sort through several images of characters in a variety of poses that were suggested for use. I would then cut characters out of their screenshots and begin to composite them on a blank setting within the game to create an image that would showcase these MTX items in the most desireable light. The above mailer consists of four seperate screenshots (the background, each character, and the super pack bar) which were each color corrected, repainted and scaled to achieve the final product. These elements would then be reused as created for the mailer or tweeked slightly for the web banners and bucket adds that would go along with each mailer.
In some instances I would actually hop in game and take my own screenshots which I would later cut and rebuild to add more drama and some unique flair to each of the individual pieces as shown in this emailer and supplemental web banners.
The Steampunk Booster Pack was one of the first MTX items that we tried branding. I spent the majority of the day working on the logo, then spent the following day compositing all the images and painting the steam.
