Heights Second Regular Folio Launch LXV no. 3: Hawi
The theme of the 2nd regular folio is a response to the 1st folio which challenges us to engage with the political. As we continue to fulfill this, we ask ourselves—“where do we go from here?” It seems as if we are still blinded/restricted by the worldview of the institutions that shape us, or even how the “Atenean perspective” grows on us.
The design direction for this folio was broken glass—the breaking or deconstruction of these institutions that shape/reflect the Atenean perspective.

The Folio
We are still limited to what these institutions teach and so I wanted to show how it is not easy to just break this perspective and step outside these structures. And that once this is “broken,” we are still left with these pieces that used to make us whole.
To emphasize "broken," I decided to break old CDs and adjusted the colors and saturation.
